William D Bodnar

William D. Bodnar, Jr., 72 of Sheffield Village passed away on July 28, 2026. He was a 1972 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School and then a graduate of the Ohio State University. Bill was a freelance photographer who worked with several photography studios and businesses, and also with Dodd Camera. He was an avid reader and loved music and playing his guitar. Bill was a strong man of faith and was an usher at St. Vincent DePaul Church in Elyria for many years. Bill kept in contact with many of his friends and roommates from college and liked playing cards with them. He also used to enjoy riding his Harley. Bill was simply a good person who never intentionally meant to hurt anyone.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Wiliam Sr. and Helen Bodnar, and his younger sister, Esther. He is  survived by his friends and relatives.

There will be a funeral Mass at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 41295 N. Ridge Rd., Elyria on Thursday, August 6 at 10:00 am, followed by the inurnment at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
