Virginia "Ginny" Davis (nee Hall), age 85 and longtime resident of Lorain, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 after a lengthy illness.
Born March 17, 1937, in Pikeville, Kentucky to her parents, Grady and Georgia (nee Tackett) Hall. Virginia attended Portsmouth High School. She married her first love, Richard “Dick” Davis in 1952, and they moved to Lorain in 1953 and started their family.
After moving to Lorain, Virginia worked as a waitress at the Aqua Marine in the 60s and at JCPenney in the 70s. She was a proud homemaker who enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, cooking, baking, and caring for her family and spending time with her beloved cat Po.
Virginia is survived by her son, Larry Davis; her grandson, Juston (Lara); loving granddaughter, Misty (Robert) Blaylock; her loving great-grandchildren, Rachel Barker, Bethany (Michael) Hale, Nathan Blaylock, and Marianna (Robert) Dickens; great-great granddaughter, Novalee Hale; her brother, Duke (Nita) Hall; her sister-in-law, Shelby Hall; and many nieces, nephews, friends and loving neighbors.
Virginia joins in eternity her beloved husband, of 54 years, Richard “Dick” Davis; her parents, Grady and Georgia Hall; her son, Mark Davis; loving brother, John; and sisters, Louise and Ann.
The family will receive visitors Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, with funeral services at 1:00 pm, at Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 North Ridge Rd, Elyria. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, 44805 N Ridge Rd, Amherst.
