Timothy L. Skinner

Timothy "Tim" L. Skinner, age 62, of Elyria, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, in Cleveland, Ohio. Tim was born to the late Laco Ray and Bettie Louise Skinner in Amherst, Ohio. Tim worked for many years as a machinist, most recently at BWXT Technologies in Barberton, Ohio.

While Tim enjoyed his job and his coworkers, his most important jobs were being a Papaw, Dad/"Pops", and husband. Tim's favorite past times included spoiling his grandchildren, spending time with his sons by the grill, watching movies with Aunt Diana on Wednesdays, and adventuring with his wife, Patti. He also enjoyed strolling through car shows, a good breakfast with family, and looked forward to camping with his wife. Tim was proud of his children and wore the title of Papaw with pride. His family will cherish memories of Tim as a devoted and loving Papaw, father and husband.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Patti Skinner (his Bum); 4 sons, Tim Skinner (Ashlyn), Kevin Skinner (Mindea), Cody Skinner, and Sean Skinner; 8 grandchildren; 2 great granddaughters; sisters, Deborah Hance (Ruben), Monica Herbert (Allen); and brothers, Dale Skinner and Jeffrey Skinner. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Laco Ray and Bettie Louise, as well as 3 sisters and 3 brothers. The family would like to thank Tim's work family at BWXT for their support.

He will be especially missed by his soulmate, Patti and “Papaw's boys", Aiden and Owen, who he cherished dearly.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 North Ridge Rd., Sheffield Township, from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.
