Thomas "Tommy" Robert McKee

Thomas (Tommy) Robert McKee, 77, of Amherst, Ohio took the Lord’s hand and was taken home on Friday, Nov 17, 2023.  Tom had many medical issues.   He was at Elyria UH Hospital surrounded by family as he calmly and quietly surrendered to the Lord.

Tom was born in Copeland, Miss., in 1946, but was raised in Cleveland, Ohio.  He retired from Kawneer (Alcoa) in Cleveland at the age of 65.  Since his retirement, he worked at various jobs, with his last job driving for various car dealerships, with his brother, Johnny.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, John Robert McKee; mother, Annie Laura Eller and brother-in-law, Lonnie Tollett, Sr.

Tom is survived by his wife of 32 yrs., Wanda Kay (Starcher) McKee, daughter, Lori L. (Aaron) Kobylarz of Wellington, Ohio; grandchildren, Isabella and Jacob Kobylarz of Wellington, Ohio; brother, Johnny McKee (Brenda) of North Ridgeville, Ohio; sisters, Barbara Stone and Sandra Tollett, both of Elyria, Ohio;  step-daughter, Michelle l. Moffette of Amherst, Ohio;  step-grandsons, Nicholas A. Moffette of Amherst, Ohio; A. J. Moffette of Wakeman, Ohio;  two step-great grandsons, Jayden and Jasper Moffette of Norwalk, Ohio; plus several nieces and nephews.

In Tom’s earlier years he enjoyed going to horse races, watching and going to Nascar races, bowling and shooting pool. Tom also loved to sing.

Tom was a quiet, gentle man and will truly be missed, and our love for him will always live on.
