Steven Ritenour

Steven Ritenour, of Lorain, passed away after a long courageous battle with heart disease on September 23, 2022 at the age of 54.

Steve said shortly before he passed, "It doesn't matter how much you have, it's about enjoying yourself and just being a good person" and that is how he lived every day of his life.  He loved classic rock, muscle cars and riding his motorcycle. He spent his time playing with his grandchildren, visiting with his daughters, and working on projects with friends. He was described as kind, forgiving and funny by anyone that got the pleasure of meeting him.

Steve leaves behind his beloved daughters, Brittani Baden (Justin), and Melissa Ritenour; grandchildren, Ethan and Aubrey Baden; mother, Dorothy Ritenour (nee Pirl);  brothers, Reid Ritenour Jr, Charles Ritenour (Anita), Ron Ritenour (Jennifer), and John Ritenour;  sisters, Betty Ritenour and Sue Ritenour; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Reid Ritenour Sr and sister, Dorothy Jean Majchszak.

The family will receive visitors Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 10:30 am-12:30 pm with  funeral services at 12:30 pm at Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N Ridge Rd, Elyria. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, 44805 N Ridge Rd, Amherst. There will be a reception at Good Shepherd Baptist Church 1100 Cleveland Ave. Amherst following the burial.  In Steve's honor, his girls ask that any motorheads please bring their rides for Steve's final cruise.
