Shirley Temple Taylor

Shirley Temple Taylor, 76, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away on April 29, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Shirley was born on September 21, 1947, in Clinchco, VA, to Auty and Elizabeth Edwards.

Shirley was a loving wife and mother, a devoted grandmother, and a dear sister. She is survived by her husband; Robert J. Taylor; son, David M. Newsome;  step-daughter, Tammy Taylor; sisters, Brenda Edwards and Kathy Dennis (Mike); granddaughters, Elizabeth T. Kalo (Lewis IV) and Jessica L. Newsome;  grandchildren Hayly M. Newsome and Vincent A. Newsome; two great-grandchildren; nephew, Jeffrey C. Ripking; and her partner, Danny Sebastian. Shirley was preceded in death by her first husband, Gary Newsome, and her parents, Auty and Elizabeth Edwards.

Shirley dedicated her life to being a homemaker, supporting her husband, Robert, while he built his family insurance business. She took pride in creating a warm and loving home for her family. She loved sitting on the front porch and spending time with family. In her free time, Shirley enjoyed playing cornhole, card games and trips to the casino.

Shirley Temple Taylor will be deeply missed. Her memory will forever be cherished in their hearts.
