Peter M. Cummings

Peter M. Cummings, 63 of Elyria, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 following surgery at University Hospital in Cleveland. He had retired just over a year ago after working 38 years for Elyria Manufacturing. Pete loved the Cleveland Browns and golfing. He was a very good self-taught guitarist and enjoyed music. His favorite activity was spending time with his family and he will be greatly missed by them and his friends.

Pete is survived by his loving children, Brandi Cummings (fiancé Michael Baumbick) and Matthew Cummings (wife Jaqi Schmauch); grandchildren, Jackson and Lilliann Baumbick; brothers, Stephen Cummings (fiancé Kathie Murphy) and Brian Cummings; his girlfriend Shanna King and his special pug, Kasey.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dick and Faye Cummings.

A celebration of Pete’s life will take place Sunday, July 28 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Amherst Eagles, 1161 Milan Avenue, Amherst.
