Lorain

Emblem
Narciso Rodríguez,“Papí”, (of Lorain, OH), born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico in 1923, rests in the presence of our Lord & Savior after his spirit departed on Saturday, April 1, 2023. He lived a life of example and one which proved to be fruitful. He honored his family and country, having served in the U.S. Army during World War II. In 1948 he became one of the first to relocate to Lorain from Puerto Rico. Narciso had no fear of putting his hand to the plow and it showed in all he did. He worked at the Lorain Shipyard as an expert welder, at National Tube (USSteel), and at Ford Plant #2 in Cleveland. His work ethic also showed in his love for gardening. His example was felt in his determination, his staying healthy (he exercised daily by working out), and also was felt in the ways that he expressed his love.

Narciso, preceded in death by his wife, Digna Evangelista, is survived by their four daughters, Milta Rodríguez (OH), Migdalia Rodríguez-Gómez (Mariano - CA), Nereida Rodríguez (Chester, Deceased - OH), and Noelia Rodríguez (OH).

Narciso's legacy continues with his grandchildren, Raquel Rodríguez (Tony), Roxanne Rodríguez (Patrick), Luis Danyel Falcón, Evamaria Gómez, Ana Gómez, and Mariano Gómez III; his great grandchildren, Anastasia Alvarado, Aaron Alvarado, and Thalia Gwinn; and his great, great grandchildren, Isabella, Adriana, and Axell.
He is additionally survived by his sister, Antonia Rodríguez (PR). Narciso is also survived by an army of nieces and nephews.

Narciso was also preceded in death by his siblings, Bruno, Maria, Hilda, Leoncio, Provi and (Infant) Rodriguez, and by his son-in-law, Eddie D. Rodríguez.
