Michael D Monday

Michael D. Monday, 58 of Elyria, passed away following a lengthy illness on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. He was a retired forklift operator who loved to drive and travel. He was also an avid Cleveland sports fan, and enjoyed visiting the casino downtown. Mike was a very caring person who would help whenever anyone needed him. He will be missed by his family.

Michael is survived by his siblings, Jeri Sexton (Mick), Jodi McIntire, James (Charlene) Monday, Matthew Bays, and Peggy York, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. James and Betty Monday; and his long-time companion, Stacey Nowakowski.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
