Jeannette H Swartz

Jeannette H. Swartz, 90 of Lorain, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2026. She was born in Lorain and lived there her whole life. She and her husband, Gordon, were married for 70 years. They enjoyed traveling all around the country in their motorhome, and the last 20 years they would spend their winters being snowbirds in Florida. Jeannette was an avid reader and bingo player who also enjoyed gambling. She was a huge Cleveland Indians and Browns fan as well. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who will be greatly missed.

Jeannette is survived by her beloved husband, Gordon; loving children, Victoria Hackenberg (Scott, deceased), Rebecca Peckham (David, deceased), David Swartz, and James Swartz (Tina); grandchildren, Scott Hackenberg, Jr. (Haley), Jennifer Hackenberg, Kenneth Hackenberg, Anthony Koziura, Kevin Koziura, Amber Swartz, David Swartz Jr., Jaime Swartz, Michael B. Swartz (Nikki), and Steven Swartz (Gretchen); and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Kowalski; son, Michael Swartz (Diane, surviving); and 7 brothers.,

A private family service will be held.
