James Timothy Gamble, 66 of Lorain passed away at his home on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. He was born in Los Angeles and lived most of his life in Lorain. Jim was a bartender in his younger years and retired from Thompson Aluminum Casting as a Quality Control Manager. He enjoyed playing softball and was a fan of the Denver Broncos, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Indians. He was quite a handyman and could fix anything including cars. Jim enjoyed Mexican food and the occasional beer. He was a very fun person, very jovial, and had a great sense of humor. Jim was known for making people laugh and that’s probably what people will mostly remember him for. He will be greatly missed by his loving family.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife of almost 46 years, Cheryl (nee Ryncarz); children, Justin, Nicholas, and Nichole Gamble; grandchildren, Hunter and Rowan Gamble; and siblings, Melvin Gamble, Jr. (Pamela), Carole Niemeyer (Rick), and Candice Fremouw (Monte). He is also survived by nieces, Shonnelle Gamble, Stephanie Gamble, Raquel Gamble, Kristina Gamble, and Heather Hess Gamble; nephews, Melvin Gamble III, Matthew Gamble, Shaun Gamble, and Michael Hess; and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Margaret Gamble; and brother, Thomas Gamble.
The family will receive friends at the Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N. Ridge Rd., Sheffield Twp. on Thursday, October 30 from 5:00 pm until 7:15 pm, at which time a short service will be held.
