It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack James Jr. A long-time resident of Lorain, Ohio, Jack passed away on May 27, 2026, at the age of 82 years old.
Jack was born in Richwood, West Virginia on June 2, 1943. He served in the US Army, worked for US Steel, and then Norfolk Southern Railroad, where he retired in 2003. He also worked as the Master Winemaker at John Christ Winery in Avon Lake, where he won many awards across the state.
Jack loved reading and was an avid golfer for many years. He was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Cincinnati Reds, and he rarely missed an episode of Jeopardy.
He leaves behind too many cherished friends and family members to mention, but if you cared for him and he cared for you, you are appreciated.
Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the family at this time.
