Harold M Gage Jr.

Harold M. Gage, Jr., 68 of Vermilion went home to be with God on Saturday, August 30, 2025. He was a 1975 graduate of Elyria West High School, and went on to work for the Lorain Post Office from where he retired after 39 years. He loved his ’57 Chevy and other classic cars, fishing, and eating. He was addicted to watching television and loved his dogs, especially Polo. Harold loved his wife immensely, was a very proud grandpa, and will be greatly missed by his family.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Tina (nee Sharpless); daughter, Janelle Smith; stepdaughters, Lucille and Amber Suppa; granddaughters, Alicia and Tina; sisters, Pam Gage of Litchfield, Denise Evans of Elyria, and Sheila Harrell of Elyria; his brother, Darrin Gage of New London; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Emilie Gage, Sr.; grandparents, John and Irene Ahlberg, Albert and Stella Fridenstine, and Merle Gage; and a nephew, Chad Vance.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 10:00 am until the funeral service at noon at the First United Methodist Church, 312 3rd St., Elyria.
