George Mavros

George Mavros, 85 of Lorain, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021.

George was a life-long resident of Lorain and was a retired Staff Sergeant for the US Army. He and his wife Bonnie were long-time members of the Lakeview Baptist Church in Vermilion.

George is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Bonnie Jean (nee Rieth); children, Robert Mavros, John Mavros, Tim Mavros, and Debbie Mavros; and 4 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Florence Mavros; and a brother, Chuck Mavros.

The family will receive friends at the Lakeview Baptist Church, 591 Ferndale Ave., Vermilion on Wednesday, April 21 from 10-11am. The funeral service will begin at 11am followed by the burial with Military honors at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, OH.
