Gail Ann Spears

Gail Ann Spears (nee Akers), age 74, of Lorain went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2022, following a lengthy illness.

Gail was born January 13, 1948 in Montgomery, West Virginia. She moved to Lorain in 1976 with her 4 beloved children and husband, where she spent her time as a home-maker.

Gail had a passion for writing letters and cards to family and friends. She also gave whenever and whatever she could.

She left behind 3 daughters, Tonda Anderson (Jeff) of Grafton, Kimberly Spears-Nedoma (Brian) of Lorain, and Angela Spears-Hronek (Steve) of Lorain.  She also left behind 8 beloved grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Jewel Akers; her husband, Ronald Spears; and daughter, Paula Akers.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 6:00 pm at Church of God Prophesy, 1183 Douglas Street, Vermilion, Ohio, with a dinner to follow.
