Frank J Speidel

Frank J. Speidel, 74 of Elyria Township passed away at his home on January 2, 2026. He was a skilled auto glass mechanic and it was through that where he met many of his friends. Frank loved hunting and fishing. He was a complicated man, often stubborn and sometimes difficult, but in his own imperfect way he loved the people in his life. Frank was Frank and if you knew him then you know what that means.

Frank is survived by his wife of 45 years,Regina (nee Kurta); children, William Kurta, John Kurta, and Kristy Sawicki (Ted) and Daniel Speidel (Jesse); grandchildren, Savannah, John, Danelle, Cameron, Izaya, Rosalina, Vanessa, Josiah, Trent, Zach, Kevin, and Christopher; many great grandchildren; and siblings, Randy Speidel (Julie) and Kim Papaleo; along with many nieces, beloved cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lois Speidel.

In accordance with Frank’s wishes, no services are scheduled.
