Eva Mae Hall, of Elyria passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025 three days after celebrating her 88th birthday on July 4. She was born in Weeksbury, Kentucky to Elmer and Edna Hall. Eva retired from the Elyria City Schools after 32 years of teaching. She loved reading, bowling, watching the Cleveland Indians, going to the casino, and especially traveling. She and her husband travelled to all 50 of the United States and several different continents. Above all else, she loved her church and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by them.
Eva is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Jack; children, Scott Hall, Ken Hall (Pam), and Pam Stewart (Troy); grandchildren, Riki Hall, Jason Hall (Jess), Megan Moore (Jared), Lindsey Moren (Luke), Shawn Burden (Courtney), Chaz Burden (Chrissy), Colin Greathouse (Victoria), Clint Stewart (Christen), and Brandon Stewart (Erica); 19 great grandchildren; and siblings, Elmer Hall (Debra), Estelle Hall, Eloise Hamby (Donald), and Emma Mullins (Solomon).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Edna Hall; sisters, Effie Delong, Ethel Thornsbery, Elsie Keathley, and Evelyn Dawson; brothers, Ellis, Edgar, and Edgel Hall; and a grandson, Jeremy Hall.
The family will receive friends at the Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N. Ridge Rd., Sheffield Twp. on Wednesday, July 9 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Lorain Baptist Church, 3640 Palm Ave., Lorain, Ohio on Thursday, July 10 at 11:00 am, followed by the burial at New Russia Twp. Cemetery.
