David G Lane

David Lane, 64 of Elyria, passed away on June 28, 2023. He was a jokester and prankster who loved making people laugh.  Dave was also fanatical about his cars, and he loved watching WWE and other professional wrestling. Probably his biggest quirk was making sure that his hair was perfect, no matter how much Aquanet that took! He will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him.

David is survived by his wife, Monica; his son, George Lane (Kendra); his daughters, Melinda Doughty (Ryan) and Tonia Rone; grandchildren, Makala, Elise, Samual, Nevaeh, Ihra, and Felix; sisters, Donna Lane and Brenda Cray; brothers, John Lane (Sheri) and Bill Lane (Linda); along with many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his dad, Paul Lane; mom, Ella Mae Lane; and brothers, Danny Paul Lane, Randy Lane, Charlie Lane, and Gary Lane.

A Celebration of David’s life will take place on Saturday, July 8 from 5:00 pm to dusk at Elywood Park, 556 Washington Avenue, Elyria.
