Christopher S. Casteel

Christopher S. Casteel, 60 of Amherst, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 25, 2021. He was a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan who loved to shoot pool. He treasured his ’76 Nova and loved his dog, Harley. Chris worked for the Chronicle-Telegram for about 40 years.



Chris is survived by his daughter, Amanda Casteel; son, Joshua Rundell; grandchildren, Connor, Scarlett, Elliott, Adelynn, and Ryleigh; brothers, Craig Casteel and Joe Casteel (Melinda); a sister, Loretta McNally (Herbert); and his loving life partner, Brenda Brannon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, R.G. “Steve” and Lela Belle Casteel; and a brother, Tony Casteel.

A celebration of Christopher’s life will be held at a later date.
