Betty Jewel White

Born in Louisville Mississippi
A woman of deep faith and unwavering strength, Betty and her late husband, Richard White, founded New Haven Baptist Church together, where she served faithfully for many years. Her love for God and commitment to her community were cornerstones of her life.
Betty ran a booth at Jamie’s Flea Market, where the staff, vendors and patrons were like family to her.
She is survived by her devoted son Al (Kelly); grandsons, Scott, Eric, Bobby and Jason (Jess); granddaughter Jennifer (Joshua); great grandchildren, Landon and Audrey; as well as several of her beloved brothers and sisters. Her legacy lives on in the strength, resilience, and laughter of her family.
She was preceded in death by Reverend Richard White; her daughters Mona and Pam; and granddaughter Ashley.
Betty will be remembered for her bold spirit, her humor, her toughness, and the love she gave in her own unforgettable way.
The family will receive friends at the New Haven Baptist Church, 5290 French Creek Rd, Sheffield Village, on Friday, August 1, from 10:30 - 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Ridge Hill Cemetery at a later date.
