Barbara Sue LaCook

Barbara Sue LaCook (nee Beck) age 80, was reunited with her late husband on April 30, 2022, to begin their ever after forty-one years later.

Barbara was preceded in death by beloved husband, Gerald “Jerry” C. LaCook Jr. and her parents, Roy and Eona Beck. A life-long member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she is survived by son, Lewis (Lindsay) LaCook; daughters, Leslie LaCook and Laura Wynieski; brothers, Robert (Judy) Beck, and Carl (Nancy) Beck; sister, Marylin (James) Farmer; Grandsons, Aaron (Stacy) Wynieski, Ethan Wynieski , Jeran Scheuvront; and Granddog, Jack.

Barbara will be remembered by her great grandchildren and her great-great grandchildren. She was Grandma Cookie to Damian (Amanda) Moretz, Cody (Nicole) Moretz, and Shane Hargreaves, and a member of Delaware United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 6 at 11:00 am at Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 North Ridge Road, Sheffield Twp.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm.  The family then invites you to join them in a small reception at Homewood Suites by Hilton, located at 4930 Transportation Drive, Sheffield Village.

Barbara will be cremated, and her remains will be used to create a memorial stone to be placed with her beloved late husband in a private ceremony.
